Browntop millet (Brachiaria ramosa) is known as Korale in Kannada, Andu Koralu in Telugu, and Palaipul in Tamil. It is the rarest of the five Siridhanya millets — only cultivated in small quantities by a handful of farmers in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Soak for 2-3 hours, drain, and cook in 1:2.5 water ratio for 18-20 minutes. It has a slightly chewy texture and nutty flavour. Goes well with sambar, rasam, and dal.
